Geist is the German word for “spirit,” but is often used to describe a pervasive sentiment or collective unconscious. Some people also use the word "zeitgeist" as a way to pinpoint what people are talking about in their everyday lives. Although we're a bit biased, we think everyone should be talking about Riesling – in particular this one, crafted by some friends of ours in Germany with generation upon generation of family winemaking experience. It's a perfect any-season, food-friendly wine, great for dinner parties, Saturday afternoons, sushi takeout, you name it. Serve this wine up for some friends and they'll be talking about it for a long time to come.

Tasting Notes

Beautiful, enticing aromas of white flower, peach, green melon, citrus and honeysuckle invite you in. It all hints at the wine being slightly sweet, but on the palate it's very dry, crisp and refreshing, with a pure, mouthwatering acidity that makes the wine ever so easy to drink. The same aromas present as flavors, so this wine is a perfect match for shellfish and salad dishes. A slightly bitter citrus note on the finish makes you crave another sip, bite of food or both.
