Evelyn Waugh's Scoop is about a rookie journalist who's accidentally sent to cover a civil war in Africa. Even though the main character, William Boot, is completely out of his element, he trips and falls backward into the real story, ahead of every experienced journalist dispatched to write about the war. We couldn't help but be reminded of Boot when we stumbled across this wine, which has been right under our noses for a while. But hey, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. This is a crisp, delightful wine designed for spring and summer drinking – perhaps best enjoyed relaxing outside with a classic novel.

Tasting Notes

This is a vibrant, straw-colored wine with a tinge of green. Stone fruit, guava, lime blossoms and mineral aromas evolve into ripe lemon-lime, almond and sweet spices. The palate is juicy and refreshingly crisp, with grapefruit, lemongrass, citrus blossom and stone fruit flavors, plus a hint of blood orange.
