1 x 2007 Fotinos Brothers Winery Napa Cabernet Lake Spring Ranch Vineyard
The Fotinos Brothers are back with their incredible 2007 Napa Cabernet.
What can I say? When you’ve got it, you got it. The Fotinos family has been in the grape growing and winemaking industry for over 120 years. They have managed to secure some of the most coveted vineyard space in all of Napa Valley and are sourcing their fruit to all of the major players: Mondavi, Sterling, Charles Krug, Spring Mountain, Saintsbury and Falcor.
Fotinos also happens to have one of the most seasoned and accomplished winemakers in Napa: Jac Cole, a 25-year veteran who made wines at Chateau St Jean, Stags Leap Wine Cellars and Spring Mt. Cellars among others.
If it sounds like I am name dropping … well, I am. The pedigree is simply ridiculous. I thought you needed to know: these guys are the real deal.
The Fotinos Brothers’ reputation in Napa Valley is nothing short of legendary. In addition to sourcing their grapes to Napa’s top names, the family has produced wine under their private label for over 60 years They decided to take their small, and highly coveted project public only two years ago and are eager for you to try it.
Tasting Note
Rich and voluptuous, this wine will have you grinning ear to ear. The sleek bottle presentation is an accurate indication of the experience that awaits. It’s full bodied and fruit forward. Generous amounts of ripe and juicy black plum, red and black currant, cassis and mountain strawberry. Coffee bean and milk chocolate fold into delicate sweet herbs and caramelized bell pepper. The texture is rich and silky with firm and polished tannins on the finish.
This wine is simply delicious and will make you look good for bringing it to any occasion. I would jump all over this fantastic wine at such a rare trial price. Chris and family want you try this wine because they know you will fall in love.
Winemaker, Jac Cole
Jac graduated with a biology degree at UC Berkeley and an enology degree from Cal State Fresno. He has over 25 years of experience making wine for the likes of Chateau St Jean, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, S. Anderson Vineyards and Spring Mountain Vineyard. Jac and fellow winemaker Tom Fotinos formulate the unique blends that are Fotinos Brothers wines.
